I {love} 2 Scrap Bracelet Class

Join me in San Diego at Scrappin' Escapes Scrapbook retreat at the BEAUTIFUL Kona Kai for this fun and easy jewelry making class, learn basic jewelry design, stringing, crimping along with attaching the bracelet clasp. 

You will be creating this colorful, versatile bracelet plus you will have the option to customize your creation by choosing either the “I Love 2 Scrap” dangle-y charm or a plain puffy heart charm.  This will make a great gift for your favorite scrapper or better yet keep it for yourself and show off your scrappin’ pride!!

Class Supply List:

No need to bring any supplies with you however you might want to bring a magnifying glass if you have sensitive eyes.

DIY: Jewelry Organizer

I had been using a bottle of Fabreeze to hold my bracelets, hanging my necklaces over a sconce and just placing my rings on my nightstand.  That was my jewelry organizer.  I knew I wanted to make one myself, but wasn’t exactly sure how I should do it.  After doing a bit of searching the internet this is what I came up with.  I thought of it around 11 pm one night before going to bed and completed it within 20 minutes.  That time is including gathering the supplies around my house.

I started with this 12” x 12” shadow box frame.  (I have one in stock, $15.99)

I had a couple of pieces of 12” x 12” cork board.  I only needed one for this project.

 

I chose a pretty piece of 12” x 12” patterned paper.  I have SO much to chose from!

Then I had a bowl full of old push pins.  I’d like to buy some new, prettier push pins the next time I come across some in the store, and trade them out for these ugly neon colored push-pins. 

After putting it all together, with no adhesive necessary, I might add, I added my precious jewels.  80% of these are hand-made by me.

 

Obviously, I can easily change out the paper if it gets too holey or if I get bored of it.

I did this layout for a challenge at a Yahoo group I'm in, WhoGAS.

 

The flower border is made from an EK Success border punch. (love it!)  The stitching is pen-stitched.

Bracelet

Pr. 52, Ch. 1

I have a lot of time and a lot of money invested in learning out to bead.  It's quite challenging but I enjoy it.  I've missed beading.  I haven't done it in about a year, I believe.  My new resolution is to try to incorporate beading in with my scrapbooking and card making.

This little heart took me a few days and a LOT of hours to complete.  My first try (top) didn't go so well.  You may not be able to tell but there are a lot of missed/bad stitches.  So, I started over from scratch and completed it.  I'm sure this has missed/bad stitches as well, but I had to move on!

I used this beaded heart dish on my Project 52 challenge.
