While at Scrappin' Escapes retreat at the BEAUTIFUL Kona Kai in San Diego this past weekend I made a few layouts. It has been a while since I scrapbooked and was excited about it.
Most of what I used came from monthly scrapbook kits from Polka Dot Whimsy. The paper is Lily Bee, Vintage Poppy.
I made the banner by hand. Well, I used a paper trimmer. I pierced holes in the upper corners and sewed Baker's Twine to bind them together. I had to steal the Baker's Twine from my own store display I had set up at the retreat.
The BEAUTIFUL card is from 7 Gypsies.
I took advantage of the swap table at the retreat. I came across some GREAT finds! One of which is a brand new package of these Making Memories white rub-on alphabets that I rubbed onto the photograph, here, spelling 'Sweetness.'
The tag came in the PDW kit with the Washi tape already wrapped around it. I added all the other embellishments and distressing. The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart, which I love. I punched some vintage book paper that was very frail so I had to back it with cardstock before I punched it. Otherwise, it kept falling apart while I was trying to adhere it to the tag. The pearl bling is from Bo Bunny.
The lower border punch, the one that goes across the whole page, is the snowflake border punch from Martha Stewart, borrowed from Crystal....like so many other supplies over the weekend. Thanks Crystal!
